What this actually costs
Real Upstate numbers, not national averages. These are the ranges we quote from. If your project falls outside one, we will tell you why.

| Retaining walls | $35 – $70 per face foot installed | Face footage is height times length. A 3ft tall, 30ft long wall is 90 face feet, so roughly $3,150 to $6,300. Access and excavation move it more than the block does. |
| Paver patios | $15 – $28 per square foot installed | A 20x20 patio is 400 square feet, so $6,000 to $11,000. Steps, curves and seat walls add to it. Base depth is where cheap quotes save money. |
| Sod | $1.20 – $2.50 per square foot installed | Includes killing or stripping the old turf, tilling and fine grading. Bermuda and zoysia cost more than fescue. |
| Mulch | $85 – $130 per cubic yard installed | One yard covers about 100 square feet at three inches. Most bed refreshes are 3 to 10 yards. Includes edging and weeding first. |
| French drains | $30 – $60 per linear foot installed | Depth, access and where the water can actually go drive this. A short run to daylight is cheap. Hand digging around utilities is not. |
| Lawn maintenance | $45 – $85 per visit | Mow, edge, trim and blow. Set by lot size and how much trimming there is, quoted per visit after we see the property. |
| Yard cleanups | $250 – $700 per cleanup | Standard spring or fall reset on a residential lot. Neglected properties and storm damage are quoted after we walk it. |

Ranges are for residential work in Greenville and Spartanburg counties, current for the 2026 season. Material prices move, so treat these as the shape of the number rather than a quote.

About these prices
Why do you publish prices when nobody else does?
Because everybody wants to know and nobody wants to call to find out. These are the ranges we actually quote from. Your number lands inside them or we tell you why it does not.
Why is there a range instead of a price?
Access, slope, how much has to come out before anything goes in, and what the ground is doing underneath. A patio behind a gate you cannot get a machine through costs more than the same patio with an open driveway.
Do you price-match a cheaper quote?
No, but we will tell you what the difference probably is. In this trade the gap is almost always base depth, compaction, or drainage. It is the part you cannot see and the part that decides whether it lasts.
Do you charge for the estimate?
No. We come out, walk the property, and give you a written number. Design work is quoted separately and we tell you what it costs before we start.
